I wanted to share a little bit about myself for those of you who are interested. I was born in Toledo, Ohio, but raised in Michigan where I now reside. I’ve done many things in my life (an avid dancer as a youth, worked in the automotive industry after college, owned my own graphic design company after I had my son), but feel I have found my true calling designing and creating jewelry. I started playing with jewels while I lived in England a few years back. In my travels I found such as array of amazing stones, handmade glass, gems and crystals. Each was so beautiful in its own right, but I also saw the potential to incorporate and intermingle them as part of a larger creation. It was like a whole new world opened up to me. I taught myself most of what I do, though have taken (and taught) some classes along the way. I’m now heavy into the metal working aspect of jewelry-making, which fascinates me.
